Dexter's Inn
Dexter's Inn is steeped in Provincetown history. In the 1800's the site of Dexter's was part of a farm that supplied draft horses for local work. Because of its proximity to the Harbor, it was later converted into a fish salting and drying compoun. Around the turn of the century, the various buildings on the property were joined together, establishing one large dwelling. Into the teens and twenties, it was used as a private home with elaborate garden plantings, some of which still remain. In the early 70's this historical building was established as a guest house.
