Avvie is an initiative of Hugo Lingeman, innkeeper and internet entrepreneur. In 1994 he opened his first B&B in Amsterdam and around that time he started applying his marketing skills to the internet.The success of one of his sites for Amsterdam Bed and Breakfasts, inspired him to start Avvie and apply his experience in this business to a worldwide directory and a simple to use bed and breakfast calendar. Hugo has a stylish studio apartment for rent in his canal house in Amsterdam, dating back to 1605.
